Dec. 26th, Timothy Fox of near Dillsboro Indiana was arrested for OWI and being a habitual traffic violator.

Dec. 20th, Teresa Wallace of Waterford, OH was arrested for OWI.

Dec. 20th, Samuel Soto of Lawrenceburg was arrested for OWI.

Dec. 16th, Jacob Courter of Rising Sun was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Dec. 12th, 2004, Officers responded to a fight call at the Pitcher's Mound on Main Street. Arrested in the altercation was Tim Hon of Rising Sun. Hon was charged with Battery, Intimidation and resisting law enforcement.

Dec. 11th, 2004 Sherri Hill was arrested for OWI.

December 9th, officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 200 block of High Street. After the incident, Michael Boryczka of Rising Sun was arrested for battery.
November 28th, 2004 Benjamin Montanez of Huber Heights Ohio was arrested for public intoxication and battery after a disturbance at Grand Victoria .
November 28th, 2004, April Pursiful of Rising Sun was arrested for resisting law enforcement and public intoxication.
November 24th, 2004 George Stanley Sears of Indianapolis was arrested for public intoxication.
Nov. 20th, Michael Jarrett of Cincinnati was arrested for OWI.
Nov. 14th, John Lutz of Columbus, OH was arrested for domestic battery after officers responded to a call at Grand Victoria Casino.

Nov. 6th, James Zang of Cincinnati was arrested for OWI.

Nov. 1 April Pursiful of Rising Sun was charged theft and conversion after an investigation by Officer Wayne Siekman.

Oct. 28th, Bobby Ascherman of Lawrenceburg and Sara Smith of Dillsboro were charged with the burglary as well as several other offenses. Officer Keith Clapp was the investigating officer.

Oct. 16th, Robert Fields of Carthage, Indiana was arrested for OWI. During the same incident, Tracy Horton of Greenfield, Indiana was arrested for Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct and resisting law enforcement.

Oct. 15th, Elizabeth King of Rising Sun was arrested for minor consumption.
Oct. 15th, Sherry Pruitt of Patriot was arrested for OWI and being a Habitual Traffic Violator.
Oct. 4th, Kevin Green of Cincinnati was arrested for possession of a handgun without a permit. Also arrested during the incident was Kevin Wright of Cincinnati for reckless driving.

Oct. 1st, John Jones of Aurora was arrested for OWI.

Sept. 29th, Pam Bovard of Switzerland County was arrested for invasion of privacy.
September 23rd, Robert Kinman of Rising Sun was arrested by police for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
September 23rd, Milton R. Crane of Bloomington, Indiana was charged with 8 counts of theft after an ongoing investigation. Crane allegedly sold advertising space in a bogus brochure to several Rising Sun businesses.

September 20th, Rising Sun Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. The car was taken from a residence in the 100 block of N. Poplar Street. It was later located at an address on SR 262. Case remains under investigation.

September 17th, Rising Sun Police investigated an attempted burglary in the 400 block of S. High Street. Some one had broken a window and tried to gain entry into a home, but were unable to get inside. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.
September 17th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Cincinnati couple. Shari Abbott was arrested for OWI and Tim Abbott was charged with public intoxication.

September 14th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Jarrett Caseltine of Rising Sun. Caseltine has been charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Officer Clapp was the arresting officer.
Sept. 7th, Rising Sun Police responded to a loud music complaint on Mulberry Street. During the incident, police arrested Keith Kelly of Rising Sun for minor consumption. A second subject is charged with fleeing law enforcement.

Sept. 2nd, Rising Sun Police arrested Chad Hubble for probation violation.

August 29th, police were called to the 200 block of N. Poplar Street about a battery. 21 year old April Peters of Rising Sun was arrested in the incident.

August 27th, James Montgomery of Hebron, KY was cited for reckless driving when his motorcycle passed another vehicle in a no passing zone.

August 26th, Adam Sheets of Switzerland County was arrested for criminal recklessness by Rising Sun Police.

August 22nd, Rising Sun Police arrested Ronald Ferry of Rising Sun for resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

August 21st, Rising Sun Police arrested Justin Cizek of Lawrenceburg for Minor Consumption.
August 21st, Raymond Hartley of Rising Sun was charged with Contributing by Rising Sun Officers.

August 18th, Justin Lynn Rider was arrested for OWI.

August 17th, April Peters was arrested for battery.

August 13th, John Shepard, Jr. was arrested for OWI.

August 13th, Alisha Eversman was arrested for public intoxication.
August 8th, John Chrisman of Patriot was arrested for OWI.

August 8th, Kenneth Splitstone of Middlesex, PA was arrested for OWI.
August 3rd, police responded to a 911 call in the 1000 block of Fifth Street. Arrested in the incident were Kenneth and JoAnn Niccum both of Rising Sun.

July 18th, officers were called to a fight in progress on Main Street near the NAPA store. Arrested in the incident were Eric Grimes and Tim Hon, both of Rising Sun.

July 14th, Officers responded to an animal complaint in the 200 block of N. Poplar Street. As a result of the incident, Amanda Meyers of Rising Sun was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
July 14th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Jason Ballard of Big Rapids, Michigan. Ballard was charged with OWI.

July 11th, Officers were dispatched to an accident in a city owned parking lot near Main Street. Dawn Combs was arrested for an OWI refusal as a result.

July 11th, Officers responded to a 911 call in the 200 block of Walnut Street. Clifford Riley of Patriot was arrested for public intoxication and Rick Hardiman of Rising Sun was arrested for battery as a result of the incident.
July 9th, Rebecca Robinson of Dearborn County was arrested for OWI.
June 26th, Amanda Ballard of Rising Sun was arrested for public intoxication after police received a complaint from Grand Victoria Security officers.
June 23rd, Officer Wayne Siekman arrested four Cincinnati area men for minor consumption and one for OWI after a traffic stop near the Grand Victoria Casino.
June 22nd, Rising Sun Police arrested Shawn Rice for theft for allegedly stealing gasoline from the Ohio County Sheriff's Department gas tank. Officer Laura Wilhelm was in charge of the investigation.
June 22nd, Robert Heaton, Jr. of Prospect, KY was arrested for public intoxication after an altercation at the Grand Victoria Casino.

June 20th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two subjects for minor consumption. Officer Siekman was the arresting officer.

June 19th, Officer Rick Miller arrested Sherry Pruitt of Guilford for OWI and Possession of Marijuana (under 30 grams).

June 13th, a routine traffic stop for no tail lights resulted in the arrest of Chris Berkley of Rising Sun for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

June 12th, Jimmy L. Kittle of Rising Sun was arrested in the parking lot of the Grand Victoria Casino after a patron reported that Kittle was staggering around the parking lot. Kittle was charged with public intoxication.
June 6th, Shamika Hampton and her boyfriend Oscar Sanders of Indianapolis were both arrested and charged with battery and public intoxication while in the parking lot of the Grand Victoria Casino. Officer Wayne Siekman investigated.
June 6th, Officer Rick Miller arrested Brian J. Higginbotham of Dayton Ohio for public intoxication after receiving a complaint from Grand Victoria Security staff.
May 31st, Rising Sun Police responded to a report of a car break in the school bus parking lot near the high school. Richard Main of Ohio County was arrested in the incident. Sgt. Frank McIntosh and Officer Wayne Siekman were assisted at the scene by Chief Deputy Dave Otter.

May 24th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Benny Golden of Dearborn County. Golden was charged with possession of marijuana under 30 grams, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

During the early morning hours of May 23rd, The Rising Sun Police responded to a report of thefts from vehicles at the Hoosier Haven Apartment Complex. After a short foot pursuit, 19 year old Seth Watson of Rising Sun was arrested on several charges. Officer Rick Miller was assisted by Ohio County Deputy Brian Monohan.

Around 4:00am on May 16th, Grand Victoria Casino staff reported a possible drunk driver leaving the casino property.A traffic stop on the vehicle resulted in the arrest of the driver for OWI while the passenger was charged with public intoxication.

During the early morning hours of May 16th, three Columbus, Ohio men were arrested in the parking lot of the Grand Victoria Casino.The three men were charged with possession of marijuana under 30 grams, visiting a common nuisance, public intoxication and maintaining a common nuisance.

May 14, Rising Sun Police are investigating an attempted break in at 234 1/2 Mulberry Street in Rising Sun. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department. Call 438-2074 or Submit an online TIP
May 10th, after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen, police arrested William Thies for allegedly furnishing alcohol to a minor. Also arrested in the incident was Savanah Bruce. Both are from Rising Sun.

May 3rd, Rising Sun Police were called to the Grand Victoria Casino at the request of casino security after numerous problems with a patron.David D. Bacon of Indianapolis was later arrested for public intoxication.

April 28th, the Rising Sun Police began investigating an incident of possible home improvement fraud.A Rising Sun resident had paid money up front to an out of state contractor for the installation of replacement windows last July.As of this date, the contracted work has not been done and no effort by the suspect has been made to return the victim’s money.

April 27th, Indiana State Police have recovered a vehicle that was recently stolen from Rising Sun. The vehicle was located along I-65 North of Indianapolis. The case remains under investigation and the Rising Sun Police along with the Lebanon Police Department are following up on a strong lead in the case.

April 27th, Rising Sun Police investigated a two car personal injury accident at the intersection of Main and Downey Street. Injured in the accident was 18 year old Stephanie Baer. The second driver refused treatment. Baer was cited for failure to yield. Lt. Brian Browning investigated the accident and was assisted at the scene by Chief Hewitt and Ohio County Sheriff's deputies.

Rising Sun resident Doug E. Thies was arrested on April 21st by Rising Sun Police on a theft after he allegedly had stolen money from a residence.

The Rising Sun Police are investigating a report of a stolen vehicle.The incident occurred on 4/19/04 at the Grand Victoria Casino and Resort.A 1991 Chevrolet S10 pickup was taken from the employee parking area sometime between 10:00am and 12:00pm.Police have a developed a suspect in the case from the Indianapolis area.The case remains under investigation.

April 18th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Ben Fryer of Versailles, Indiana.Fryer was stopped for a possible false and fictitious vehicle registration.During the stop, it was learned that Fryer allegedly had a small amount of marijuana in the car.

April 18th, Rick Liggett was stopped by Rising Sun Police for speeding and driving left of center.Liggett was later arrested and charged with OWI.Officer Wilhelm investigated both incidents.

April 14th, a routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of John Hankins, Jr. of Switzerland County.Officer Siekman stopped Hankins after a complaint was made about is driving behavior.During a drivers license check, it was learned that Hankins was wanted in Jefferson County, Indiana.

Grand Victoria Casino Lawrenceburg Indiana Hotels

April 13th, shortly before 3:00am, Officers responded to the hotel at Grand Victoria Casino and Resort after a domestic violence report had been made.Amy Warr of Batavia, Ohio was arrested during the incident.Officers Clapp and Wilhelm investigated the report.

Three men were arrested after an altercation on Main Street during the early morning hours of April 9th.Arrested were Raymond Hartley, Gene Hite, and Aaron Osborne.All three were charged with public intoxication.Officer Clapp was the investigating officer.

On 3/31/04 the Rising Sun Police & Ohio County Sheriff's Dept. conducted a cooperative investigation that led to the issuance of a search warrant for narcotics at 505 N. High Street in Rising Sun.At the time that the warrant was served Orla Williams and her son Casey Williams were at the home.

During the search officers discovered numerous items that indicate the sale and use of narcotics in the residence.

Casey Williams was arrested on related drug charges and taken to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department.
